John Wooten, Ph.D., Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

John Wooten is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of ShouldersCorp. In this capacity, he is the lead architect and designer for a mission critical application with 100,000 clients and 35,000,000 users, as well as the project leader for multiple eCommerce applications.

Prior to this position, John was a Computational Physicist for the Lockheed Martin Energy Research Program (Oak Ridge National Laboratory). He also served as a Database Expert and member of the International Atomic Energy Program. He holds a distinguished career in academia as a Computer Physicist with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee and a visiting Assistant Professor with Louisiana State University.

John is a seasoned professional with over twenty years of scientific code development, encompassing all aspects: obtaining funding, managing technical teams, program management, and system administration. His professional emphasis is on network design/implementation, and management, network training and visualization, and he has expertise in Object Oriented development as applied to legacy databases and the World Wide Web. Additionally, he is a Member of the World Wide Institute of Software Architects (WWISA).

He currently is providing technical advice to the Military Health Service for projects that involve sharing images and clinical data between the Veterans Health Administration and the Department of Defense.

John Wooten has a BS from Florida State University, an MA in Physics from the University of South Florida, and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Nebraska.
