SC Connector
In the last fifty years, a lot of software has been written. A remarkable percentage of what has been written is still being used. Most companies have "heritage" or "legacy" code, which they don't want to even think about modernizing or replacing.
New web-based applications have to connect to these systems. It seems that the older, bigger and uglier these applications are, the more likely they must be connected to the new system. All too many seem to be written in COBOL and contain well over ten million source lines of code.
We have built a framework for making such connections efficiently and quickly. The SC Connector contains classes such as:
| Card | Action | Loader | Facade |
| State | Transformer | Field | Replicator |
The SC Connector also uses the RuleEvaluator class from the core objects where appropriate. Validating the accuracy of a file involves the same rules and core objects used to do such validation on data being entered on a screen.
