SC Navigator
Traditional client server applications are written with the navigation logic embedded in source code on either the client or server machines. Navigation logic is the deeply nested series of if-then-else statements to determine what screen appears next. If the business process changes, source code modifications are required. The business problem is that changes to the navigation logic are common and the software isn't so "soft" - it changes slowly.
ShouldersCorp factors the navigation logic into a series of tables so that changes to the navigation logic can be accomplished without code modifications. Furthermore we provide a graphical front-end which allows a non-programmer to make navigation changes. We also provide the possibility of making on-the-fly changes to the navigation logic, if desired or required.
The SC Navigator is a simple tool, which allows non-programmers to determine the navigation from screen to screen in a stylized fashion. Actually, the SC Navigator is "controlling" which navigation buttons are placed on a screen and which screen appears next based upon a user's action.
The SC Navigator allows an authorized person to define the roles a particular individual is allowed to perform. Based upon these roles, the SC Navigator will determine what functions and data are available to an individual and route appropriate work to that individual.
